As a Philadelphia Eagles fan living in Korea, I am excited to share the latest news about the Eagles' 2023 NFL Draft picks. The Eagles had a total of eight picks in this year's draft, including three picks in the first three rounds.
In the first round, the Eagles traded up to the 9th overall pick and selected Jalen Carter, a defensive tackle from the University of Georgia. With the 30th overall pick, the Eagles selected Nolan Smith, a linebacker from the University of Georgia.
In the second round, the Eagles traded their pick to the Houston Texans for a third-round pick, a sixth-round pick, and a seventh-round pick. With their new third round pick, the Eagles selected Tyler Steen, an offensive lineman from the University of Texas.
In the third round, the Eagles traded up with the Arizona Cardinals to select Sydney Brown, a safety from the University of Illinois. The Eagles also acquired Kelee Ringo, a cornerback from the University of Georgia, with a pick acquired from the Texans in exchange for a future third-round pick.
In the sixth round, the Eagles selected Tanner McKee, a quarterback from Stanford University, with a pick acquired from the Texans. In the seventh round, the Eagles acquired Moro Ojomo, a defensive tackle from the University of Texas, with a pick acquired from the Detroit Lions.
Additionally, the Eagles traded a future fourth-round pick and a seventh round pick for running back D'Andre Swift and a seventh-round pick from the Lions. They also made a couple of trades on the final day of the draft to acquire a fifth-round pick in 2024.
As a die hard Philadelphia Eagles fan, I am thrilled to say that the Eagles absolutely dominated the 2023 NFL Draft! With strategic trades and expert picks, they addressed all their key areas of need on both offense and defense. In my opinion, they were the best team in the entire draft, and I cannot wait to see how these talented rookies will contribute to the team in the upcoming season. This is just another reason why I proudly shout, "Fly Eagles Fly!"
